Class Evaluation

  1. One of the few things I liked about the class is the students.
  2. One of the few things I didn't liked was the almost similar quotes we had to do.
  3. What I recommend for this class is to stop using quotes that are very similar to each other.
  4. One of my highlight of this class was when I got an A in this class
  5. I did my best in this class. As soon as our work is given to us I will get started on it and I will finish it
  6.  I am reading my goal journal for at least 5 minutes. When I get home I do a write down a couple of the goals and write some things down in the journal
  7. I am planning to stay as a CTR person because I don't want to do something I will regret.
  8. I will pass down the ways of choosing the right
  9. I will always remember to always CTR
"You will go far with CTR"- Mr. Haymore

This is a quote from our teacher. Through out the school year he thought us about CTR. He told us what to do in certain situations. He told us what will happen if you CTW. He was the one that showed us the videos and stories of people choosing the wrong. We learn about how CTW can make you feel. He also showed us how CTR can make us feel. He also showed us videos and stories of people CTR. This quote is is obviously saying you will make it far in life if you avoid choosing the wrong and instead you choose the right.

"Of all the choices you will ever make, one choice supersedes all others-the ultimate choice. This one choice will help you to always make correct decisions for the remainder of your life. This one choice, The Ultimate Choice, is your keystone for being the best student and person you can possibly be. This one choice will forever affect you for good more than any other choice"- Mr. Haymore

This quote is basically a summary of what we have been talking about this entire time. We went over what you should do depending on what situation it is. We gave some life lessons. We told stories of the good deeds people have done. How they have a choice whether or not they should do the right thing or something bad. We even told stories of people doing something bad and something bad ended up happening in their lives. We seen how much respect a person gets when someone learns about their good deed. This quote is basically saying to always choose the right.

"If there is beauty in character, there will be harmony in the home, if there is harmony in the home, there will be order in the nation. If there is order in the nation, there will be peace in the world. Conclusion: If there is beauty in character, there will be peace in the world"- Chinese Proverb

The meaning of this quote is very easy to understand. If you got a good personality, there can be peace. A lot of things that happen to someone depends on their personality. Having a bad personality can bring you a lot of trouble. An example to this is your friends. Sometimes your bad personality can attract the wrong people. They can get you in trouble or just being with other bad people can make you do more bad things. If you have a good personality, the bad people might think you're boring or something and leave you alone, which is a good thing. Having a good personality is one of the most important thing you need to have.

So awhile he tried going vegan to get rid of his problem and it worked. He decided to go vegan so he won’t have to deal with that anymore

An example to the last post

There was a guy named Roman Chapa. He was a jockey in a horse race. Roman Chapa was in 5th place when all of the sudden his horse went fast and go to first place. It turns out he was using a device that is meant to electrify the horse to make it go faster. He got into serious trouble. There was a teen named Malik Stewart who was into wrestling. He was against a opponent was wrestling for his Dad who had cancer. Malik learn this when he lost to him and he decided to go up to the father and wish him luck and to stay strong.

"I would prefer even to fail with honor than win by cheating." -Sophocles

This is stating that some people would prefer to lose honestly than to win by cheating. Sometimes it best to lose honestly because you know you're better than them because you didn't have to cheat. Another reason why it's best to lose honestly is because you're not the one that is gonna be hated when they learn the winners were cheating. You won't get in trouble if you failed with honor. You have a good chance of getting into serious trouble for winning by cheating.

Memorial Day Weekend

Over the weekend we had a BBQ. Over the weekend we went to visit Disneyland. We met some of our old neighbors. I watched the amazing spider man 2.  I saw a basketball game my brother played. When my parents were away for couple of days, I had to clean up the entire house by myself. I made my mom breakfast.  I did my english and math homework over the weekend. I also decided I need to clean up some stuff in my binders.

Memorial Day

Memorial day is a day to honor all those who died in active military service. Memorial day is on May 30. To show respect, towns and cities can throw parades and people can go to the cemetery and decorate the graves of the fallen with flowers and flags. It is a shame because a lot of towns and cities haven’t done a parade in a long time and most people just see it as a day to go to parties, visit friends, or a long weekend to do some other things. A few things I can is visit a memorial day parade and pay respect to their graves.

"If I've got correct goals, and if I keep pursuing them the best way I know how, everything else falls into line. If I do the right thing right, I'm going to succeed."- Dan Dierdorf

What he means is that if you have good goals and if you pursue them in a good way, then everything else will fall into line. So what you need to do is make a goal that is something good ,not bad. An example of this type of goal is you wanting to pass high school. Then what you need to do is achieve that goal the right way. What he means is that you need to do what you're suppose to do. Don't do something that can mess up your chance of completing that goal

"The reward for doing right is mostly an internal phenomenon: self-respect, dignity, integrity, and self-esteem."- Dr. Laura Schlessinger

This quote is saying sometimes when you do what's right, no one gives you a reward expect yourself. Doing right things can make you feel right. You can gain self-respect and dignity. Doing what is right can make you feel clean and a bit happy. Doing something wrong though can have some serious consequences. There are might not be any rewards for doing something wrong. There is a chance whereas  you might get caught and punished. Doing something bad can probably make you feel good for a while, but if when you think about what you done you can feel guilty. There is no negative feelings when you do something good, but if you do bad, you will feel bad.

  1. Work Hard
  2. Follow your passions. Do things you are interested in doing
  3. Don't chase after money
  4. Serve others. Do good things for others, and good things will come to you
- Phillip Riggs

These are the 4 success tips Riggs has given us. Number one is plain and simple rule. All you need to do is work hard to get what you want. Number 2 is something you have to figure out on your own. You need to follow your life goals, do things that you are interested in. Rule number 3 is saying not everything is about money. I think this rule is talking about a job that pays extremely well but sometimes it is not worth it. An example is a job you don't like doing or something that goes against everything you wanted and the only reason you're doing it is because it pays well. Number 4 says if you do good for others, sometimes good things will come to you.

World Records

  1. Rubik’s cube robot:  This robot was created by a team of software developers and this machine can solve a rubik’s cube in 0.9 seconds, this record was broken in 11 February 2016

   2.   Biggest Pancake Stack: Center Parcs breaks the world record for the largest pancake stack, a total of 213 pancakes, this record was broken in 09 February 2016
  3.   6 layered nail bed: 6 men laid on top of each other with double sided nailed boards, the combined weight was 462 kg. This record was broken in 05 February 2016

My favorite one from this is the nail bed thing. These people had to lay on top of each other with a nail board digging into the front and back of their bodys. I don’t wanna break a record myself because sometimes the record is hard to break or it is too dangerous or weird.

"You knew what I was when you picked me up."- Rattle Snake

This quote is from a indian legend involving you making a decision. There was a story about a man who traveled up to a mountain and he found a rattle snake The snake begged him to pick him up and take him down the mountain. The man said no because he knew he will try to bite him. The snake said that he is special and won't bite him. The man then decided to take the snake down. The man has now reach down the mountain and ge gently placed the snake down. The rattlesnake turned around and bit him in the leg. The man cried why has he done this to him. The snake told him you knew what I was, and you picked me up.

"In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing." - Theodore Roosevelt

This quote is pretty straight forward. Whenever you have to make a decision and those decisions happen to involve something with you doing good or bad, you need to choose good. Most of the time the bad choice will lead to others getting hurt or even yourself. If you know what's right and wrong then these choices can't be hard. These type of choices can happen every day and it's important for you to choose the correct one. It can be about anything, school, work, family, friends, and even about money. An example for family is when your parents told you to come back home at a certain time, do you decide to listen to them or stay out a bit longer, which may worry your parents. Another example involving school, do you decide to go to school or ditch it, which may cause you to get in trouble.

"Nothing is ever gained in doing what's wrog." Wilford Woodruff

This quote is saying a very simple message. This is probably the most easiest thing you can understand and follow. If you cheat in a test or in a sport and then you get caught, nothing is gained. If you steal something and you get caught, nothing will be gained. Doing something wrong can get you in trouble with the law or with your family. If you get caught cheating once in something very serious, that will most likely ruin your reputation.

Myself

When I was a little kid, everyone would make fun of me. Everyday I would goto school and there wouldn't be a time were people just left me alone. Everytime I spoke, they will shut me down and make fun of me. So that explains why I am quiet most of the time in school. By the time I got to middle school, sometimes I would like to find a spot where I can be by myself, where no one would find me. When I would get out of my spot, that is when I would get bullied. That is another explanation as to why I would like to avoid people sometimes. By the time I got to highschool I was somewhat lonely. I didnt tried talking to people unless they talk to me first, that is a rule that I put for myself. Today I did atleast made a few friends, but not much. Then there is school, I would always stress out when we have a group project. I never really liked group projects because sometimes I do most of the work or when I don't do most of the work, my teammates will mess up their part. Then there are the lessons they teach us, almost everything they teach us in school will barely help us in life. I am not saying everything they teach us is useless, just most of them. The only reason why its important to know these things is because we need to points, points showing that we are smart. When I get home from school I would always like to play video games. I realized I learned more life lessons in video games than from school. My parents would get mad at me sometimes when I played for too long, even though I did all my work, helped clean a room of the house, and when I am doing well in school. But in the end, I learned how to do deal with the stress and move on.

"Its a GREAT MOMENT when someone has character to step up and do the right thing at the right time."- Pam Knox

What this quote means is that it is good to see someone doing something good when it is needed. There have been many times where people don't even want to do the right thing, either by walking away or just making the situation worse. So that's is why it is good to see someone doing something good at the right time. An example of this is when someone is getting bullied, sometimes people and teachers don't do much to help or sometimes they make it worse. It is a good thing to see someone do the right thing by stopping the bullies and helping out the victim. Another example of this is a homeless person asking for money. I think most of the time people will tend to ignore the homeless, avoiding eye contact. So that is why it is good to see someone finally donating something to the homeless person.
