You can obviously see from this quote that Dean Smith's goal wasn't about leaving a legacy. His goal was about trying to do what he knew what was right. Dean Smith told his team winning and losing didn't really matter as long everyone was working together. Dean also help promote desegregation by recruiting a African American on his team. Dean was also know for running a clean program. Dean Smith not only wanted his team to be fit, he wanted them to graduate. He achieve that because 96.6% of his athletes received their degree.

"Its not about how to achieve your dreams. It's about how to lead your life. If you lead your life the right way, the karma (destiny, fortune, good luck) will take care of itself. The dreams will come to you." - Dr. Randy Pausch

                      What this quote is saying is that it doesn't matter what you need to do to achieve your dreams. What matters is how you are leading your life. If you are leading your life the right way, the karma (ex: Good luck, destiny) in your life will take care most of it. He says the dreams will then come to you. An example for this quote is when people know who you are and what kind of person you are. If you're not a very good person they will most likely don't want you in the workplace even you worked pretty hard. But if they heard all the good you have done and they know you have a spirit, they will most likely want you to work for them. In the end, your character plays a important role when trying to achieve your dream

What this quote is saying is that the most important thing you can do for this country is educate someone's body, mind, and his character. The reason to this is because in the future there is a chance those people will make the important decision that will effect everyone. For example you don't know who or what kind of person might become the president of USA. So that is why people should educate their body mind and character. Another example is you don't know who might become a cop. A person that is suppose to protect the innocent and he might be corrupt. So this is why Roosevelt said we should educate our mind, body, and character because anyone, probably in a few years will decide the destinies of the nation.

Volunteer Opportunities

On this website I found there is some volunteer work called “No one should die alone”. In this opportunity volunteers will be assigned a patient that is nearing death so they can help them get through it. This one is called “Yum Yum!” where you interview hospital patient satisfaction and then you inform them about healthy choices. To apply for volunteer work on this website you have to give them your name, zip code, and email.

"Take responsibility for your own body, mind, and spirit for your own physical, mental, and spiritual well- being." - Mr. Haymore

               What this quote is saying is to take responsibility for your own wellness. For example, taking responsibility for your body involves avoiding anything that will harm it. Doing drugs and taking anything else that is toxic for your body for example. For your mind make sure you will avoid anything that will stress or anything that will harm your mind. You should always have a good spirit because it will help people know who you are. It is also important you also have a well maintain physical body and mental health.

       In LAUSD.net they give you a couple services and that includes stuff called Welcome Students, Student life, Student tools & Resources, Graduation Requirements, College & Career info, Online learning in LAUSD, and Student email Access. In welcome students, obviously it begins to welcome LAUSD students and start to say how we matter, we can become smart, and we are our future and they also said they will help us get in into college or enter a career we love. In student life there are some links and some of them are called Code of conduct with students, School menus, student health & human resources, and school safety. In student tool & resources they give us some useful links and that include LAUSD Facebook/twitter, Digital Library, pupil services, and parent student handbook. In graduation requirements they say will make new graduation plans for 2016 into two phases by raising the standards for LAUSD graduates by moving forward with implementation of A-G college-prep requirements for LAUSD graduation as adopted in 2005, and reestablishing the minimum number of credits to graduate from 230 to 210 (including Health) so students have more chances to prepare for and pass A-G courses and lastly raising the current passing grade for A-G courses to a “C” or better for the graduating Class of 2017 and beyond so students who apply to any public California university can automatically be considered for admission.

         What this quote is saying is that just because you have intelligence doesn't mean it's enough. For example, you can be a very smart person, but do you have a good character?. A lot of people can be smart but they can still do things that are wrong. A lot of people can use their mind in a completely wrong way. MLK believes we need a good character along side with intelligence. There should be people who uses their mind in the right way. People who has intelligence must also do good too.

                                             Neonatologist

Duties and Responsibilities: a special type of pediatrics that consists of the medical care of newborn infants, especially the ill or premature newborn infant

Salary: $194,149-$277,437

Education: Bachelor’s Degree, Medical School, Pediatric Residency, Fellowship Training, and this can take up to 14 years.

Reflection: I don’t think I would like to become a Neonatologist. Some of the reasons is that sometimes you have to deal with babies with a serious illness and it may be hard for you to see. Another reason to become a Neonatologist will take a very long time.

     What this quote is saying that we have to continue to do what we know what is right and stop doing what is wrong. For example, a lot of people will stop doing good and do something bad most of the time. Mostly when kids are normally good but then they decide to hang around the wrong people that pressure them to do bad. What Richard wants us to do is to stop doing bad and continue doing good, For example, not letting others tell you what to do and doing you know what is right.

                                                                 Orthodontist

Duties and Responsibilities: An Orthodontist can use braces and retainers to prevent future dental problems for patients, straighten their teeth and correct bite issues.

Education Requirements: four years of college, four years of dental school and two to three years of post-graduate orthodontics training, as well as extensive written and clinical certification and licensing exams.

Reflection: I would not like to become a Orthodontist. Even though it pays well, the education requirement seems hard to do. Also I don’t want to work in a job were I have to mess around with someone’s teeth.

            What this quote is saying telling a lie will have you making up making up others to cover the other up. For example, lets say you broke something and you say you didn't do it and put the blame on someone else but then other people know it wasn't him, so you continue to lie about who it was, and it only makes thing worse for yourself. Also lying constantly to the police you can get into serious trouble. The message is laying lies on top of each other will most likely end badly for you.

                 

                 For Christmas we visited our Aunt home. We ate a lot of meat over there and some candy. I met some of my cousins again after a long while. I got a couple of new games. My brother and cousins and I played some games over our Aunt’s home. We also watch a lot of movies at our Aunt’s home. I was able to play my new games. I had more time to finally sleep in.  I have been going to the gym with my older brother. Then yesterday, I had my birthday. For my birthday we bought two boxes of pizza, and my older brother made some hot wings.
