What I think Alexander Pope is saying is that we all have part to play, big or small. Pope doesn't mention if you play a prominent part, there is honor.He also didn't mention that playing a poor role in life has no honor. Pope says honor lies in acting your part well. He doesnt mean to fake it. It doesnt matter who you are, or what life you were born into, Pope just wants you to act your part well. Pope is also mention not to give up because you dont know what will happen if you just try hard enough.
